Play Therapy

Irena understands how to work with children and their parents. She uses play therapy as a tool for addressing how children think, feel and behave. Almost all sessions are activity based and usually result in parents gaining a better understanding of how to support their child. Children learn to better manage their day-to-day experiences and teens find a safe space to navigate the world as they see it.

“My play therapy rooms are made up of carefully selected toys, games, sandtrays, and art supplies that I use with children and adults to help them communicate, process and resolve issues”

Play therapy can be beneficial to a child or teen that is experiencing difficulties at home or in school. Play is less intimidating, indirect and a more comfortable form of self-expression when compared to talking.
